Drop Zone Skydive Terengganu (DZST) was established with a vision to transform Penarek Airfield into a premier destination for skydiving and air sports tourism in Malaysia. Founded in 2017, the company brings together experienced professionals from defence, aviation, and technical industries to deliver safe and world-class skydiving experiences.

Our journey is rooted in the rich history of Penarek Airfield, a site that dates back to 1968 and once played a significant role in military aviation exercises. Today, we aim to revive its legacy by developing it into a vibrant hub for adventure tourism and international skydiving events.

With strong leadership and a passion for innovation, DZST is committed to promoting Terengganu as a key destination for air sports while contributing to the local economy, tourism industry, and community development.

Mejar (R) Abdul Halim Helmy Bin Shamsuddin

Mejar (R) Abdul Halim Helmy Bin Shamsuddin, Founder and COO, is a Terengganu native with 22 years of military experience. A Universiti Teknologi Malaysia graduate, he served in the 10th Parachute Brigade and Royal Malaysia Regiment, including missions in Lebanon and Afghanistan. He has also taken part in global training and joint exercises, and his company participated in DSA 2024 and will return in 2026, reflecting ongoing involvement in the regional defense and security sector.
